"Eating organic is expensive" and other myths surrounding eating for your best life.

What we put into our bodies has become a billion-dollar industry, with accompanying studies that tell us What our bodies already know: Eating from the Earth supports a healthier life.
As the collective becomes more aware of the state of the planet that we live on (E.g Climate Change, Mass destruction of forest life and co-habitants for production, etc.) we have decided that the power of choice takes precedence when it comes to eating mindfully. We now long for a deeper connection with what we survive on, a lighter state of being. Understanding that the diet we sustain ourselves off of is also the main component to how we heal, think, and act. This understanding can quickly lead to confusion, what does organic food matter in the long term?
Why should I be paying more for the same food and getting less in return?
Toxic heavy metals and cancer-causing pesticides play a huge role in how our produce is farmed and harvested, which goes on to create an environment of lower vibrational fruits, vegetables, and grains. By the time the produce reaches our plate, it is devoid of all nutrients, disease taking its place. Not only are we losing out on the necessary nutrition we need daily, but we are also ingesting the 'sludge' that comes with that harvested product. Some types of farming practices use just that - sludge - as a fertilizer. That's right, to fertilize growing plants, sewage sludge is permitted in some farming lands. The moment these acts are taken on the land, the fruit it bears yields no vital nutrition. It has already lost its essence as a healing plant.

Buying organic produce counteracts this system that has taken hold of the USA farming standards for YEARS, by demanding space for ethical practices, kinder treatment to livestock animals, and raising the bar on the packing and manufacturing industry. Organic farming removes most of the toxic metals - including Cadmium which is a naturally occurring toxin found in soil and absorbed by plants - has lower detectable levels of pesticides found in the soil, and provides cleaner meat (please, still wash your chicken).
Does this mean that the prices will increase and you won't be able to have enough food to meet your needs? Yes ... and no. While organic foods do come with a slightly higher price tag, the following grocery list shows that the price differs according to certain elements:
The item(s) being on sale
The grocery store in which the item(s) were bought
Seasonal Pricing (is this product in season?)

And yes, the price tag is slightly higher when buying organic. But not enough to completely write off, especially when your pair it with the benefits that accompany eating organically.
Free will enables us to live our life the way that we choose. So if we know that eating better equals a longer, healthier life and the produce we keep in our home needs to be grown sustainably in order to provide the most nutrients - should we choose life? Or convenience?
